Here's our list of events happening locally this weekend.
It's been a long rainy week to be trapped indoors, so the weekend's the perfect opportunity to head out and explore something new. There are multiple festivals, events and charity events happening in a short drive of Kings Park this weekend.
KINGS PARK
Festivals
It’s Kings Park Day on Saturday, from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. Celebrate with rides, games, live music, specialty foods, give-aways and more on Main Street.

Kids and Family
- Operation Safe Child encourages families with kids to make free ID cards for children during Kings Park Day at the Kings Park Fire Department.
- Abrakadoodle will be a the Kings Park Farmer's Market to help keep the kids busy with crafts while parents shop the market.
- The Kings Park Farmers Market is held on Sunday from 9 a.m.- 2 p.m. in the municipal parking lot across from the firehouse on Main Street. Festivals
Who doesn’t love strawberries? St. Thomas of Canterbury will be hosting its annual Strawberry Festival & Yard Sale on Saturday, starting at 9 a.m. Don’t miss out on fresh strawberries, shortcakes, ice cream, yard sales and craft vendors.

Kids & Family
Sick of staying in and watching TV on Friday nights? Head over to Kids Night Out at the Mill Pond House on Friday , starting at 6 p.m. Children ages 7 - 10 can learn the Art of Bookmaking while parents get free time to themselves.
Grab your rod for the Junior Fishing Tournament at Caleb Smith State Park on Saturday at 9 a.m. Anglers ages 5 -12 compete to see who can catch the largest fish with prizes for various age groups.
Smithtown Theatre presents “Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs” this weekend at 2 p.m. Saturday and 11 a.m. Sunday.
Entertainment
Join The Wine Guy in Smithtown for a Free Whiskey Tastingfeaturing more than 50 whiskey varieties from around the world on Saturday at 2 p.m.
Smithtown Theatre presents “Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson,” the story of America’s first political maverick and our seventh commander-in-chief with shows 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday, 2 p.m. Sunday.
COMMACK
Live Music
- Catch some live music at Perfecto Mundo on Friday evening from 7 -10 p.m. with the sounds of Russ Seeger, playing the best of blues, folk and psychadelic jams.
Kids& Family
Soluna Studios offers a special preview performance of “Middle Age: The Musical” from a SEE Saw Comedy Rep featuring eight original songs on Saturday at 8 p.m.
Music
Hear Christina Fontelle, an award winning international recording artist and PBS Host for Andrea Bocelli and Il Volo sing popular Italian American songs and some opera on Friday at 7 p.m. at the Hauppauge Public Library.
Public Meetings
- The Hauppauge Public Library will host its second public meeting about its project for a new permanent home at 9 a.m. Saturday.
