Photos: Residents Ready Riverfront Park For Another Season

Local Girl Scout Troop raises funds for new seating area.

The weather couldn't have been better for the kids and parent who showed up to help clean and beautify the San Remo Riverfront Park this past Saturday.

As part of a community service project, Girl Scouts from Troop 3814 presented the San Remo Civic Organization with benches and plants to create a seating arean for residents.

According to Lorna Paine, president of the San Remo Civic Organization, almost 60 people turned out for the event.

"We painted all the swings and are in the process of replacing the hardware for the swings," said Paine. All in all it went well and the park looks ready for another fantastic season."

It is with great pride that the Girls Scouts of Troop 3814 dedicated this seating area to the San Remo Riverfront Park. We really enjoyed doing this project. The girls couldn't be more happy with the results!
