Kings Park Youth Softball Registration Gets Underway
Sign up now to play softball in spring 2014 season.
Step up to the plate and get ready to bat.
Kings Park Youth Association's softball program has kicked off registration for its spring 2014 season. Girls enrolled in pre-kindergarten, or age 4 by April 1, through 10th grade are welcome to join.
Ruth Krais, commissioner for Kings Park Softball, said the 2014 season will kick off on April 5, opening day, through June. All participants will play a minimum of 10-13 in-house games against other Kings Park teams, which does not include special events such as the All-Star game and playoffs.
"Everyone gets to play because it’s in-house, all children are guaranteed to play time on the field," Krais said.
The program generally groups 11-13 players per team, with a maximum of 15 members, according to Krais. All player requests to be on a friend's team or under a particular coach will be honored as much as possible.
