Kings Park Native Honored By Empire 8 Football
The Lady Kingsmen will compete for a state championship title on Saturday.
A Kings Park native has gained special recognition for his talent on the football field this past Saturday.
Buffalo State College junior Joe Going, a punter, was named to Empire 8 Football Special Teams Player of the Week after his performance in the Bengals' season loss to St. John Fisher on Saturday.
Going, a criminal justice major, averaged 44.8 yards on 6 punts on an extremely windy day at Coyer Field. One of Going's punts was 74-yarder that was downed at the 1-yard line.
For the 2013 season, Going has averaged 38.6 yards-per-punt.
