Girls Volleyball Wins Third Consecutive LI Title

Lady Kingsmen to travel to Glen Falls, New York to play for state title on Nov. 16.

The unstoppable Kings Park girls volleyball was able to defend its title, claiming its third consecutive Long Island title on Saturday. 

Kings Park girls varsity volleyball team swept Long Beach in three games to claim the Long Island Class A championship for the third year running, Newday reports. 

The championship title worked like a well-oiled machine on Saturday as Amanda Gannon made 19 digs, Kendall Corcoran gave 36 assists and Joelle Goldstein came up with 11 digs. 

The Lady Kingsmen will travel upstate on to the New York State girls volleyball championship held Saturday, Nov. 16 at Glens Falls Civic Center in downtown Glens Falls, New York.

The state championship tournament consists of 6 rounds of pool play starting at 8:30 a.m. for the Class A teams, according to the state's website.  The opening ceremonies will begin prior to the first match at 7:40 a.m.
