Girls Volleyball Run for State Championship Ends

The Lady Kingsmen fail to advance after two losses to Burnt Hills in pool play end their quest for Class A State Championship.

The Kings Park Girls Volleyball's team run for a state championship title came to an end Saturday evening after two losses to Burnt Hills in pool play halted their charge.

The team beat Pitsford Sutherland in pool play but was unable to keep it going that evening against Burnt Hills and thus ended a fabulous run, closing out their regular season with an 11-0 record and taking the county and Long Island Class A Championship. Both were back to back wins for the girls who had a fitting send off on Friday as the Kings Park Fire Department led them out of town for the journey to Glenn Falls.
