KP High School Advances to Second Round of “The Challenge”

Show airs Monday evening.

Kings Park has advanced to the second round of MSG Varsity’s quiz show, and will take on Walt Whitman High School in a match up being aired Monday evening.

The Kings Park High School team is represented by Michael Adams, Joseph Gargiulo, Katie Mayer and Eric Parigoris. The academic advisor is Rob Celeste. The team beat Rocky Point back in November to advance to the second round.

The Challenge pits 192 high schools in the tri-state area in a competition quiz match up with one school in each region being crowned regional champion with a $2500 prize for their school. The winning teams then go on to the championship where they square off in a tri-state showdown where the winning school is awarded $10,000. Each student participating in the final Challenge Championship game receives $500.

The show airs Monday evening at 6:30 p.m. on Cablevision's channel 14.
