Police Seek Public’s Help in Fort Salonga Hit and Run Death

Victor Shultz of Massapequa was killed last month while loading a trailer on Route 25A

Police are seeking the public’s help in identifying the driver of a car involved in a hit and run that killed a construction worker in Fort Salonga last month.

when he and a co-worker, were loading a milling machine onto a trailer on Route 25A near the Sunken Meadow Parkway. A dark colored SUV traveling west on 25A struck Schultz and fled without stopping. Schultz was pronounced dead at the scene. The co-worker was not injured.

Police say they have received information on the accident but are seeking additional information on the crash as well as the driver of a 1994 to 1997 Chevrolet Tahoe and Yukon that may have been involved in the crash.
