A cash reward is being offered for information that leads to an arrest regarding the theft of an American flag from Kings Park High School in September.
According to police, two white males climbed onto the roof of the high school on Sept. 20 at about 1 p.m. and removed a large American flag that was draped over the front of the building, which was hung to commemorate the September 11 attacks. Patch reported on the theft when it occured in September.
The two men were caught on video tape jumping off the building and fleeing with the flag.
Police are offering a cash reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to an arrest. Anyone with information about the crime is asked to call anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS. According to police, all calls will be kept confidential.
