Community Rallies for Family Stricken by Fire

Drop-off points set up for residents who want to donate to family whose home was lost in a fire.

Community members and businesses have set up donation drop-off points to raise money for a Kings Park family after an on Tuesday destroyed parts of their home.

The Caretsky family, who was renting the house, spent Tuesday evening in a hotel. It has not yet been determined if the family can return back to the home.

Items that the family is most in need of are toiletries, towels as well as clothing and shoes. Donations of cash and gift cards are also welcome.

Items Needed for the Family:

Clothing for 15 year-old girl: clothing size 0, shoes size 10.

Clothing for 21 year-old woman: clothing, size 10, shoes size 11.

Clothing for 12 year-old male: clothing size 12, shoe size 6/7 mens.

Women’s clothing: size 14/16.

Men’s clothing: pants size 38, shirts in size XL.

Women’s hospital scrubs in size medium have also been requested.

Donations of cash and gift cards can also be left at any of the above drop off points.
