9 Cars Get Tires Slashed at Smithtown Elks Lodge

Unnamed hero emerges and changes flats for nine cars.

The tires of nine cars were slashed during a retirement party at The Smithtown Elks Lodge Friday night according to police.

Suffolk County Police said they received nine reports of vehicles with slashed tires at the Elks Lodge on June 7. Eight cars were reported with one slashed tire and one had two tires slashed.

“I had my husband drop me and a co-worker off, so I was lucky,” said Helen Werner Mustapich, who attended the party that night. “Not so for my co-workers who drove there in their vehicles.”

An unnamed hero emerged however and changed nine flat tires that evening. Who was that masked man? Patch would love to know. If you know this champion of tires, contact Jennifer.Sloat@Patch.com.
