Traffic was backed up for several miles after a multi-car accident on July 4 at the Sunken Meadow State Park toll booth.
According to officials the six car accident sent several people to the hospital with minor injuries. The accident occurred just past the toll booths around 11 a.m.
New York State Park Police were on the scene along with the Kings Park Fire Department. Further details regarding the cause of the accident were not immediately available. Patch will update the story when information is available.
