How Should the Local VFW Hall Be Used?

Dwindling membership has made the once busy hall a quiet place. How best can the community use this space?

making it a viable event space for the area.

Today, Chamber of Commerce meetings are held here and in the past it was often used by World War I and II vets as a place where they could meet with other vets. Declining membership has made the latter less popular, but the venue could be used for other things like bingo nights or local bands who want to play.

I like the local band idea. A place for young people to go - people of all ages to go.

All ages music shows would be great. For years VFW halls, American Legions, KofC's and other random halls have been used to host all age shows. Just recently, the Masonic Hall in Smithtown just started hosting them again.

Great ideas, is there parking there?
