Event Spotlight: Caroling in the Park

Join friends and neighbors to sing songs of the season.

Voice and song filled Main Street in Kings Park for much of this past summer and on Sunday, locals will hear the sound of holiday hymns as carolers fill Savatt Park with music once again.

The event, orgainzed by Musical Moments in Kings Park, is a first for the group who arranged for the outdoor concerts this summer in Savatt Park. Edelweiss deli will be providing hot chocolate and cookies are being donated.

According to organizer Diane Tabone, residents can expect to hear some old familiar favorites like Frosty the Snowman and Deck the Halls. Suggestions can be posted to the group's Facebook page.

"We hope families will come, both young and old with flashlights, bells and voices," said Tabone. "We want a real small town community feel like yesteryear before the holiday became a bit commercial."
