A round up of events in and around Kings Park this weekend.

Parents Night Out

Come down and leave the kids to dance the hours away at Kings Park Dance Center, so they can party while you get a great bite to eat. Most area restaurants such as Dixie's Smokehouse, Sombrero's, Ciro's, and Shortstop Pizza offer discounts for the evening. Friday, 7:30 p.m.

Ranny Reeve Jazz Festival

It a jam fest over at RJO Intermediate on Friday night at 7 p.m. Watch and listen as local musicians take to the stage and end the night with a group jam. Admission is free. Children must be accompanied by an adult

Valentine Dinner Dance

For a little dinner and dancing brat pack style, head over to Travis Hall on Saturday night. The Knight's of Columbus Fr. Seyfried Council 821 is hosting a Valentine's Day Dinner and Dance Party with a Frank Sinatra and Dean Martin review. Dinner buffet, beer wine  and soda, dancing, raffles dessert and more. Saturday night, 7 p.m. Travis Hall.

Main Street Pub's Annual Slumber Party/Pajama Party

Wear your fuzzy slippers or pajamas and get great drink specials. This unique party has lots of surprises. Click on the link to find out. Saturday night, 8 p.m.

Complimentary Wine Tastings

Head to the Wine Guy in Smithtown on Saturday at noon to enjoy a free wine tasting.

Hmmm, now I wonder who or what organization could be doing this illegal act? I'm not going to make an educated guess who could be involverd in this deed but I think if Kings Parkers do some research they are smart enough to figure out who does not want the real facts of the "Uplands Project" to come to light. Displaying these signs is a way of making the public aware of the atrocity of this project. Questions will then be asked. Making a night run to remove them is, at the least, a cowardly act that should be publicized every time it occurs!
