Youth Art Showcase

The Smithtown Township Arts Council’s Annual Youth Art Showcase opens February 16 at the Mills Pond House Gallery. Highlighting the creativity of young people in Suffolk County, the exhibit includes artwork created by more than 250 students who have used art to express themselves in a wide variety of creative and exciting ways. Friday, 10 a.m.

Maple Sugaring Program

Tap a tree, taste some syrup. Native American and colonial techniques for maple sugaring will be demonstrated with real syrup produced for participants to taste.  Hoyt Farm, Sunday, 1:30-3 p.m. $3 per person and $8 per family, no registration required.

Sportime Summer Camp Open House

It's not too soon to start thinking about summer camp. Sportime is having an open house on Sunday from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. with a quickstart carnival, on court games and activities, face painting and more. Tour the club and meet the staff. An  early discount is available $50 off 4 full week registration, or $125 off 8 full week registration.

Girl Scout Cookie Sale

Girl Scout Troop 1829 is holding a cookie sale. Come support the girls by purchasing all of your favorite girl scout cookies. The troop is also collecting canned goods for the local food pantry.
