A fourth grader at RJO Intermediate recently won consecutive New York State All Around Championship at a competition in Elmira, NY.
Katie Finnegan, 9, took first place in the floor competition, second in beam and fourth on the vault, making her the New York State USG Level 6 All Around Champion. Katie’s team also won and are now the Level 6 NYS USAG first place team.
Katie recently got back from Brestyan’s gym in Massachusetts, where she had a second place all around finish. The gym is known for training Olympic champ Aly Raisman, whom Katie and her team had the honor of meeting while there.
