Registration Begins Today for Library Programs

Sign up for your favorite classes before they get closed out.

Open registration begins today for many Smithtown Special Library District programs. Some programs fill up quickly so if you are interested you may want to sign up today. Here is a sample of some of the programs the library will be offering this winter.

  • Winter reading club begins January 24th and runs to February 27th for grades K-5. This year's theme is "Carry Out a Good Book!"
  • Children's programs at the Kings Park branch are suspended due to impeding construction. Walk in registration is available at the main branch or you can check out Nesconset and Commack's schedule.
  • Sweet treat classes for teens include Hot Chocolate Cones and Frosty the Cupcakes at the Nesconset branch.
  • Volunteer opportunities are also available for teens to make crafts and send to local rehab and assisted living centers.

On January 20th, representatives from the Service Corp of Retired Executives will be on hand at the Kings Park branch to offer one -on-one advice for those interested in starting their own business.

Check the library calendar to find more programs and program locations.
