Four candidates will vie for two seats in the Smithtown Special Library District Board of Trustees election taking place next month.

The event will allow library district residents the opportunity to hear directly from each of the four individuals running. Questions will be asked by a moderator who will be assisted by a timekeeper. In their opening statements, the candidates will be asked to state why they are seeking the office of library trustee and what qualifications they will bring to the board.

Residents can vote in the upcoming trustee election and budget vote on October 9 from 10 a.m.- 9 p.m.
