One of the current trending topics on Twitter is "Hello November," and with November beginning this week, here's a rundown of five things look forward to this month.

1. Vote on Nov. 8. A number of local political races affecting the Kings Park community will be decided, so get out and vote.

2. Celebrate the Veterans.  The 3rd Annual Veteran’s Day Classic at Superior Ice Rink hosts resident veterans from the Northport V.A. Hospital to come down  for breakfast and an exhibition hockey game between St. Anthony's and Northport High School with lunch afterwards.  The V.A. provides transportation to all veterans who are willing and able to attend.

3. Enjoy the Fall Foliage. There are quite a few places to enjoy the majesty of fall in Kings Park. While you are at it, snap some photos and send us your best to add to our

4. Celebrate Thanksgiving. Before you stuff yourself, get moving at the 4th Annual Nissequogue River State Park Foundation Turkey Trot. Choose either the 1K fun run or the 5K race.

5. Stuff a Bus. Instead of stuffing yourself, stuff a bus. The students at Kings Park High School will be collecting food for the hungry and hope to fill an entire bus. Check the website for details.
