A Familiar Favorite in a Place That Feels Like Home

The price is right and the company is good.

and its owner, Kevin Denis are well known familiar Kings Park favorites. If you are looking a little company and some comfort food that is reasonably priced, stop by. You just may be treated like family.

The Dish:  Desi's Grilled Chicken over Greek Salad. ($9.95). The dish, named after Denis's daughter Desi is, according to Denis, the most popular item on the menu.

What's In the Dish? Cubed, marinated grilled chicken breast over a bed of iceberg lettuce, tomato, green pepper, cucumbers and crumbled Feta cheese. Placed in the salad are triangles of sliced pita, great for mopping up the homemade Greek dressing which is served on the side.

How's It Taste?: The chicken was tender and flavorful, piled high on top of crisp iceberg lettuce. The green peppers provide a little extra crunch along with the sliced cucumber. The Greek dressing, which is served in a small white pitcher on the side is tangy and homemade.

Sides: This salad is big, but if you want a side, take it in the form of a conversation on the side with owner Kevin Denis. It won't disappoint.

Best Old Fashioned "drink it while sitting on a counter stool that swirls" Chocolate Egg Cream, most delicious melt in your mouth BLT's and the hottest cup of coffee can be found at Professors! Love this place and the spirit that it infuses in Kings Park! Located in the Key Food shopping center, Kevin "The Professor" Denis has really brought some great things to town, including the weekly car shows that begin in Spring, the St. Patrick's Day parade, a recent donation sight for a family who lost all their belonging in a house fire just days before Christmas, to the "sounds of music" in the shopping center to name a few. A real hometown place, with hometown people, who give to the community all year round. Stop in and enjoy some fine diner & luncheonette food and some really nice company!
