Local Student Finishes at Top for Cross Country

Nicki Cronin finishes in top 20 for Centennial Conference.

 

Kings Park resident, Nicki Cronin of the Muhlenberg College women’s cross country team was named to the Centennial Conference Academic Honor Roll for excellence in the classroom and on the course for the second year in a row.

 A physics major, Cronin placed 18th at the CC Championships to help the Mules match the best finish in program history. They came in fourth, behind three teams ranked in the top 20 in Division III, for the second year in a row.

Cronin, who is junior captain and was Muhlenberg’s second runner, also came in 31st at the NCAA Mideast Regional to earn all-region honors for the second straight year. The Mules finished eighth out of 49 teams at the regional meet.
