FAMILY BEST BETS OF THE WEEK
Where/When: Caleb Smith State Park Preserve; Wednesday, 8 a.m.-4 p.m.
Why Go: Caleb Smith State Park is 543 acres; you could cover 10 acres a day and it would take nearly two months to see the whole thing. So get started and show your little one a wide world of nature.

Where/When: Simplicity Yoga; Thursday, 9:30 a.m.
Why Go: When a child cries, it's stressful for both child and parent. Get some relief for all parties involved with a yoga class for 18-month-olds through 3-year-old kids.

Where/When: Barnes & Noble, Commack; Thursday, 10:30-11 a.m.
Why Go: Hear a children's story read aloud by a member of the Barnes & Noble staff.

Where/When: John W. Engeman Theater; Saturday and Sunday, 11 a.m. and 10 a.m., respectively
Why Go: Bring your child to see the TD Bank Youth Theater's take on the classic fairy tale Rapunzel.

Why Go: Rainbows fill the sky with colors, but they are far too infrequent. At the library, you can hear a story about rainbows, and then make one with your own handprint.
