It is often difficult to watch dogs brought to Kings Park and Smithtown Days as their tongues drag from the heat and they shift from foot to unprotected foot on the burning pavement. Let alone get trampled by people who are not paying attention or cannot see them, etc. My dog is my best friend and I understand the desire to give the dog a day out with the family but I don't think these are the best events to bring them to.
