Kings Park Native Skates His Way Into Pro Hockey Contract

Mike Marcou signs with the Hartford Wolf Pack for the 2013-2014 season.

 A Kings Park All-Star ice hockey player will be paying for the Hartford Wolf Pack this upcoming season. 

Mike Marcou, 23, signed an American Hockey League contract with the Hartford Wolf Pack for the 2013-14 season, NorwalkPlus.com reports. 

Marcou has spent the past season playing for the Wolf Pack's affiliate, the Greenville Road Warriors. He led Greenville's defensemen with 25 points, scoring 6 goals and 19 assists. 

The Kings Park all-star also skated in two American Hockey League games in the 2012-2013 season for the San Antonio Rampage. 

Prior to going professional, Marcou played for with the University of Massachusetts - Amherst. In four seasons, he scored 17 goals and 26 assists for 43 points in 117 games.
