A car burst in to flames on Tuesday evening after the driver lost control of her car at the northbound exit of the Sunken Meadow State Parkway.

According to officials the driver of the car was heading west on Route 25A in Kings Park at about 6:30 p.m. and struck a light pole before crossing both the north and southbound lanes, hitting a tree on the south side of the parkway.
