Kings Park Grads Hear Obama Speak on College Affordability

King Park natives get chance to be at Obama's

Three Kings Park graduates were lucky to be among those selected to hear President Barak Obama speak at Binghamton University on Friday.

Obama paid a visit to SUNY Binghamton in upstate New York on Aug. 23 to host a town hall conversation on the issue of college affordability. The event was part of a larger two-day road trip.

Alex Koenig, Chelsea Leo, and  Paige Nazinitsky were three of the 95 students selected in a lottery to attend the town hall event and sit behind Obama.

In this YouTube video of the town hall,  Leo can be seen sitting sitting behind the President's shoulder in the upper right hand corner of the screen. She is dressed in navy blue, next to a boy in a bright green shirt.

Nazinitsky, Kings Park Class of 2010, attended the event as a reporter for the university's newspaper , The Pipeline.

Unfortunately, none of the three Kings Park students in attendance were selected to ask the president a question.
