4 Students Selected as Alternates for State Music Conference

Four musicians from the Kings Park High School Music Department have been selected as alternates in the 2012 New York State School Music Association All-State Conference.

Kristina Dejuri and Max Freeman, both trumpet players and  Elizabeth Palmiotti and Brianna Munch, both flute players, were evaluated through their performance of collegiate-level solos for an adjudicator in May 2012 and were selected as alternates in August 2012.

"These students have thrived by not only being involved in various school-affiliated music activities such as Jazz Band, Marching Band, Pit Band, Park Swing and the Tri-M Music Honor Society, but volunteering their time outside of the school environment for the V.A., Huntington Community Band and Long Island Flute Club, to name a few," said Kings Park High School principal, Lino Bracco, in a statement released by the school.
