Live Music

  • All Good Friends will perform favorites from the 1940s, 50s and 60s to current pop hits on Friday at Russ Savatt Park on Main Street as part of the Musical Moments in Kings Park concert series. Show starts at 7:30 p.m .

Farmers Market

The Kings Park Farmers Market is held on Sunday from 9 a.m.- 2 p.m. in the municipal parking lot across from the firehouse on Main Street. Visit the Nesconset Farmers Market. Open every Saturday from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m., through Nov. 16, residents can come down to the shopping center at Nesconset Plaza, 127 Smithtown Blvd., for farm-fresh fruits, veggies and homemade goods.

Festival

  • Join the Nesconset Chamber of Commerce in celebrating Nesconset Day this Sunday, Sept. 8 on Smithtown Boulevard from 10 a.m. - 5 p.m. There will be streetside vendors, arts and crafts, games and live entertainment.

Entertainment

  • Join The Smithtown Library for a Friday movie matinee, from 2 p.m. - 4 p.m., featuring a current or classic movie.
Commack

Live Music

Enjoy live music and entertainment this weekend at Perfecto Mundo in the Northgate Shopping Center (1141-1 Jericho Tpke., Commack). The music starts Friday at 7:30 p.m. and Saturday at 8 p.m.

Friday Night Movie

Join in on Friday Flick Night at the Commack Methodist Church (486 Townline Rd.). At 7:30 p.m., for a showing of "Friday Night Lights.” The movie is based on H.G.Bissinger's book, which profiled the economically depressed town of Odessa, TX. The movie is free with light refreshments.

Long Island Fitness Expo

Bring the family down to LI Fitness and Wellness (6133 Jericho Turnpike) Saturday from 8 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. to break a sweat and have some fun. Guests will get to demo training and conditioning tools such as

TRX Suspension Trainers, Sandbag Training System, battling rope and kettle bells. Guests can also participate in workout challenges and receive prizes and giveaways.

“Nunsense” and “Jack and the Beanstalk” are now playing at the Engeman Theater in Northport. For tickets, visit http://engemantheater.com/

Live Jazz

Hear live jazz vocals with the Barr Sinister Jazz Group Sunday at Campari (225 Main St.) starting at 5 p.m.. Wine and appetizer pairings and specials throughout the set.
