Kings Park Agenda: Fall Festival & Craft Fair, Apple Festival

Check out what's happening around Kings Park this weekend, Oct. 18-20.

It should be another great fall weekend weather-wise and there's plenty going on in the area if you want to get out of the house. Here's what's on tap: 

SMITHTOWN

Fall Festival & Craft Fair

St. Thomas of Canterbury Episcopal Church, located at 29 Brooksite Dr., will host its Fall Festival an Craft Fair from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. Saturday. Vendors, music, food, and activities for the kids.  Rain date is Oct. 26. 

HAUPPAUGE

Homecoming

It's homecoming at Hauppauge High School on Saturday. The parade starts from the Whippoorwill administration building at 3:30 p.m. A community BBQ will be held at 4:15 p.m. and the game kicks off at 5 p.m. A laser light show will immediately follow the game. 

Rotary Food Drive

The Rotary Club of Hauppauge will be holding a food drive at the Waldbaum's located at 1236 Veterans Highway on Saturday from 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. All food donations will be delivered to the St. Thomas More Food Pantry of Hauppauge.

HUNTINGTON

Apple Festival

Apples are dropping from the trees and the Huntington Historical Society is celebrating.  Children can play traditional games, try out old-time crafts and dance to traditional music. At the Dr. Daniel W. Kissam House Museum (434 Park Avenue) property Sunday noon to 4 p.m.

Big-8 Road Race

A race on a course shaped like a Figure 8 will be run Saturday through the heart of Huntington Village. Sponsored by the Kiwanis Club, the race benefits several good causes, including veterans and the organization's project to eliminate neo-natal tetanus. The race begins at 7:30 a.m.

NORTHPORT

Fall Family Fun Day

Join the Northport Historical Society on the front lawn of the museum, located at 215 Main Street in Northport, from noon to 2 p.m. for a family-friendly celebration of the season.

There will be a variety of crafts projects, activities, and an opportunity to learn how to play a number of "old-fashioned" games. Seasonal refreshments will be served. Members of the Historical Society pay only $5 per family; all others are $10 per family.

DIX HILLS

Halloween Spooktacular

Park Shore Day Camp, located at 450 Deer Park Road, will host a Halloween Spooktacular from 11 a.m. - 3 p.m. on Saturday.
