Kings Park Agenda: Breakfast with Santa, Tough Cookie Trail Race

COMMACK

Breakfast with Santa

The gymnasium at The Children's Center at United Cerebral Palsy of Suffolk (9 Smiths Lane Commack) will be transformed into a winter wonderland for a Breakfast with Santa event Saturday from 9 a.m. until noon. Tickets are $6 for adults or $3 for children and may be purchased at the door, or in advance by calling 631-543-2338. Families can have their picture taken with Santa, enter into raffle drawings and enjoy a hot breakfast.

Commack Encore Book Fair

Enjoy a special Polar Express Event for the little ones at during a book sale at Barnes and Noble to support the Commack Music Department. The event will be held Dec. 6 at 7 p.m. Between 5- and 10-percent of Barnes & Noble purchases will benefit Commack Encore, the department's booster club. Monies raised will be used to support the Commack Encore's  Dinner Dance event and scholarship.

Holiday Movie Night Extravaganza

Smithtown High School West’s freshman class council will host a Holiday Movie Extravaganza on Friday, from 6:30 p.m. - 9:30 p.m., featuring the holiday class “The Polar Express.” Come dressed in your pajamas to enjoy holiday performances by Smithtown HSW Jazz Choir, AMS Jazz Band and Smithtown Kick Line Dancers. There will also be a holiday marketplace, photos and treats. Tickets are $2 for children up to age 13 and $6 adults or high school students. 

Smithtown Children’s Foundation Holiday Breakfast

The Smithtown Children Foundation will host its 6th Annual Holiday Breakfast & Boutique at 9 a.m. Saturday at Great Hollow Middle School. Celebrate the holiday season with a breakfast, sponsored by Maureen’s Kitchen with some help from BLVD Bagels and Jeco's Deli, with visits from Santa Claus, arts and crafts, music and entertainment. All proceeds go to the Smithtown Children’s Foundation that assists local families in need.

Heritage Country Christmas

The Smithtown Historical Society will host its annual Heritage Country Christmas on Saturday, from 3 p.m. - 7 p.m., at the Frank Brush Barn on Route 25A. Enjoy all the sights and sounds of Christmas while visiting Smithtown’s historical buildings. There will be live music, a traditional puppet show, a community wreath contest, Victorian crafts, caroling and Santa is stopping by from 4 p.m. - 6 p.m. Admission is $3 for children, $5 for adults.

Holiday Market Weekend
Smithtown Township Arts Council and St. James Model Railroad Club will hold their Annual Holiday Open House this weekend Friday, from 6 p.m. - 9 p.m.;  Saturday and Sunday from 11 a.m. – 5 p.m. at the Mills Pond House in St. James. Admission to the model train exhibit is a donation of $2 for adults, 50 cents per child.

Deepwells Holiday Boutique

Deepwells Holiday Boutique will kick off its second weekend run at the Deepwells Farm & Mansion in St. James this Saturday and Sunday. The event features more than 30 artisans selling holiday gifts and wares at the 1845 Greek Revival-style farmhouse Different goods featured will include original art, stained glass, jewelry, handmade marionettes, dolls, painted Santas, floral arrangements, candles, and more.

Tough Cookie 8K Trail Race

The Tough Cookie 8K Trail Race is a challenging and fun trail run at Sunken Meadow State Park at 9 a.m. Sunday followed by a festive raffle and holiday cookie celebration. Bring your running shoes and enjoy cookies made by Copenhagen Bakery and our race volunteers. Registration and Check-in runs 7:45 a.m. - 8:45 a.m.
