Music, giveaways and a chance to be in the Guinness Book of World Records for standing up against bullying sounds like a fun way to start the weekend.
Friday night at 7 p.m. at the track at Kings Park High School, Kings Park in the Know along with the Kings Park Civic Association invite the community to come out for a night of family fun.
Two attempts will be made to break world records. Their first attempt will be to bust the world record for the number of people to stand up together, from a sitting position, with arms linked.
The second record is to make the world’s largest peace sign using glow sticks. The groups will be handing out the sticks to attendees who will then head to a designated spot.
Events for the younger ones include a yo-yo contest. WBLI will be on hand playing music. Tickets are $5 at the door.
