Don't Forget: Landing Avenue Bridge Closes Wednesday
Leave extra time and plan your detour route.
As you make your way around the Smithtown, don't forget to allow a little time for the Landing Avenue Bridge closure which will begin on Wednesday.
The bridge will closed to traffic, 24-hours a day for three-weeks beginning July 24. The suggested detour route, according to Gilbert Anderson of the Department of Public Works, will be Edgewood Avenue to Route 25A, then take either Oakside Road or Rose Street to return to Landing Avenue.
