Whiz Kids: Kings Park High School Wrestling Team

There's no grappling about it, this team is one for the record books.

Our Whiz Kids aren't just brainy, but athletic too. This week it took a team to get our attention and we agree, no grappling about it that this team is worthy of whizziness.

Whiz kids come in all shapes and sizes, as a team or an individual, kindergarten to high school senior. If you know a Whiz Kid let us know, we want to brag.

Whiz Kids' Accomplishment: Winning the League Championship

Whiz Kid’s Key to Awesomeness:

It was a strong year for Kings Park wrestling. Even after losing the Soria twins, this team couldn't be beat and was able to secure the first league title for Kings Park in 23 years. Making the night just a bit sweeter was winning the League V championship in front of 450 spectators in their hometown.

A few standouts of the tourney were Andrew Roden who finished in second place and Kyle Sheehan who lost to Sayville's top seeded wrestler, Justin Bonamico.

Patch was also there for the Division I Suffolk wrestling where Kings Park represented in good form. Click to see how we performed.
