Weekend Sports Scoreboard: KP Squads Rout Over the Weekend

Here's our wrap-up of school sports scores.

Fall sports are in full swing and Kings Park was out on their fields and courts this weekend. See below for our wrap-up of scores.

The Kings Park football squad improved to 3-0 on Saturday with a 48-20 victory over Rocky Point at home. The Kingsmen remain tied for first place in Division III after Sayville, Miller Place and Huntington also all pulled out victories over the weekend. Next Saturday the team faces Comsewogue (0-3) at home at 2 p.m.

The girls soccer team took home a 6-1 win on Friday over visiting Bellport. With the win, the squad improved to 3-1 overall and 2-0 in League IV. They square off again Monday at Hauppauge, Tuesday at Smithtown East in non-league action and Thursday at home against Sachem East, also a non-league game.

The boys soccer team was also victorious on the field Friday, upping Islip, 1-0, to improve to 3-3 overall and 2-1 in League V. This week, the team hosts Connetquot on Monday in a non-league game and Rocky Point (1-4-1 overall, 0-2-1, League V) on Friday.

The girls tennis team fell to Smithtown West, five games to two. The team dropped to 1-4 in League II play and 1-5 overall, and hopes to bounce back in a rematch on Thursday.

In girls volleyball, Kings Park improved to 4-0 on the season (3-0 in League V), winning its fourth game three sets to none over Harborfields on Friday. On Thursday, they play Eastport-South Manor. Both teams are 3-0 in league play.

Hmmm, now I wonder who or what organization could be doing this illegal act? I'm not going to make an educated guess who could be involverd in this deed but I think if Kings Parkers do some research they are smart enough to figure out who does not want the real facts of the "Uplands Project" to come to light. Displaying these signs is a way of making the public aware of the atrocity of this project. Questions will then be asked. Making a night run to remove them is, at the least, a cowardly act that should be publicized every time it occurs!
