Three Kings Park Athletes Make All-Long Island Volleyball Team

Kendall Cocoran, Joelle Goldstein and Amanda Gannon given individual honors in post-season.

After Kings Park girls volleyball's team success on the courts, some of its key players are gaining individual recognition for their skills. 

Kings Park Athletic Director Dan Butler announced three Kings Park students have been named to Newsday's First Team All-Long Island Volleyball Team. 

Seniors Kendall Corcoran and Joelle Goldstein were both given spots on the All-Long Island volleyball team, as well as junior Amanda Gannon. This ranks them amoung Long Island's top players. 

Corcoran will continue on to play volleyball at LeMoyne College next year, while Goldstein will be heading to Ithaca College.  

The Lady Kingsmen had a successful 2013 season winning their third consecutive Suffolk County Championship and third consecutive Long Island Class A girls volleyball championship. 

Kings Park traveled upstate to compete for the New York State title, where they finished in third place under Head coach Lizz Manly.
