Local Wins Bronze at College Conference Track Meet

Nicki Cronin finished in third at the Centennial Conference Championships.

Junior Nicki Cronin of Kings Park won a bronze medal at her college conference championships recently, joining fellow local Nolan Rummel as a pair of college runners making recent strides at the next level.

The Muhlenberg College women's 4X800-meter relay team, on which Cronin ran the opening leg, finished in third place in the Centennial Conference Championships, with a time of 9:36.42, good for second place all-time in the school's record books.

The physics major, who also earned academic honor roll for the fifth consecutive season, also ran the anchor leg of the distance medley relay team, which placed fifth at the meet.
