Local Resident Earns Co-Captain of College Cross Country Team

Junior Nicki Cronin, of Kings Park, was selected as a co-captain of the 2012 Muhlenberg College cross country team.
Cronin ran to a third-place finish in the short race at the Dickinson Long-Short Invitational last year, leading the women’s team to a second-place finish and helping it move up to a season-high fifth in the regional rankings. She earned all-region honors by finishing 33rd in the NCAA Mideast Regional, where the women’s team placed seventh, its best finish in program history.

The Mules are scheduled to open their 2012 season at the Lehigh Invitational in Bethlehem, Pa., on August 31.
