Lady Kingsmen Fall to Top Seed North Babylon In Hoops Quarterfinals

The Kings Park High School girls' hoops team fell in the quarterfinals of the Class AA playoffs Wednesday night to top-seeded North Babylon.

North Babylon defeated the squad, 79-56, according to Newsday, after outscoring Kings Park in the second quarter by 24-11 and never looking back.

The No. 8-seeded Lady Kingsmen had defeated No. 9 Longwood in the first round to earn their matchup against North Babylon, who will go on to face No. 5-seed Commack on Saturday.

Emily Stephens led the way for Kings Park, according to Newsday, with Brittany Mueller and Shannon Ahern also scoring in double digits.
