Kings Park Students Compete in State Indoor Track and Field Championships

Kathleen Naeher finishes 8th in the state for 1000M run.

Two Kings Park High School students recently competed in the New York State Indoor Track and Field Championships at Cornell University.

Junior Kathleen Naeher finished 8th in the state in the 1000M run and senior Kayla Koelbel competed in the 55M hurdles.

earned at the State Qualifiers in July and was ranked 8th in New York State.

The Kings Park girls winter track team defeated Miller Place last month, taking the county title, their third straight and the fourth in the last five years.
