Kings Park Student Recognized by Runner's Edge Magazine

Kathleen Naeher was chosen by Runner's Edge magazine and Harrier of the Week.

Kings Park Senior Student-Athlete Kathleen Naeher as Runner’s Edge Harrier of the Week for Oct. 12 in Girls Cross Country.

The name harrier derives from English schoolboys who developed a game called Hares and Hounds: "Hounds" would chase "hares," who would leave paper trails through woods and hills for the hounds to follow, according to an article on Runner's World. The moniker is often used in cross country running.
