Kings Park High School Senior Kayla Koelbel earned a top spot this past weekend at the New York State Track and Field Championships in Syracuse.
Koelbel was named All-New York State after finishing 3rd in the pentathlon and was instrumental in leading Kings Park to their third consecutive Suffolk County Division II Championship and their 6th consecutive League V Championship.
earned at the State Qualifiers last July and was ranked 8th in New York State.
Koelbel will attend Cortland University next year where she will continue her track and field career.
