Former Knights Premier Soccer Player Honored
Stern, starting goalkeeper for Salve Regina University, has been named Rookie of the Week.
Daniel Stern, of Kings Park, has been honored by the Commonwealth Coast Conference and has been named Rookie of the Week.
Stern played for the Kings Park Knights Premier soccer team and the Long Island Junior Soccer Team Select/ODP program. He currently is a freshman at Salve Regina University in Newport, RI. and is the starting goal keeper.
Stern helped lead Salve Regina to a perfect 3-0-0 week, improving upon the best start in program history by helping the Seahawks improve to 8-0-0 on the season, including a 3-0-0 mark during conference play.
Stern shutout the previously unbeaten UMass.-Dartmouth Corsairs for over 105 minutes and made five saves to earn the victory in net.
