Don't Miss: Girls Volleyball Plays for the Long Island Championship

Kingsmen face off against Long Beach at St. Joseph's College at 4 p.m. Saturday.

Kings Park girls volleyball is looking for a hat trick on Saturday by defending their title.

The Lady Kingsmen varsity girls volleyball team will play Long Beach for the Long Island championship title 4 p.m. Saturday at St. Joseph's College in Patchogue. Kings Park is the defending Long Island champions.

The girls volleyball have been unstoppable this season with a record of 20-0, take the League V title and the clinching the Suffolk Class A championship by sweeping Islip on Wednesday.

The Kings Park team set their goals set on a hat trick for the Long Island Championship and possibly their first New York State Championship in 2013 pre-season. The team won the Long Island Championship titles in 2011 and 2012.

"A talented senior class, skilled additions to the roster, and 4 returning starters have the girls thinking three-peat. Kings Park has one of its deepest teams in school history," said Ed Manly, assistant head coach of Kings Parks girls volleyball team, told Patch in pre-season.

Hopefully the team's experience pays off under pressure on Saturday against Long Beach. Admission is $7.
