Two Kings Park Students Named Mathematic Scholars

Jeffery Li and Kameron Sedigh recognized by The Institute of Creative Problem Solving for Gifted and Talented Students.

Two Kings Park High School students will have the chance to pursue higher studies of mathematics and the sciences.

The Institute of Creative Problem Solving for Gifted and Talented Students recently recognized Kings Park students Jeffery Li and Kameron Sedigh as 2013 Long Island Young Scholars of Mathematics.

This honor places Li and Sedigh among the top one-tenth of one percent of all Long Island math students in their grades.

Li and Sedigh competed in the Institute's three divisions against approximately 950 top-ranking other students nominated from other Long Island school districts for this honor. Acceptance into the Institute is based on five criteria: nomination, school transcript, teacher recommendation, a brief statement written by the student and a rigorous entrance exam.
