Three Candidates Will Vie For 2 Board of Ed Seats

Weber and Motherway not running for re-election.

Three candidates will vie for two Kings Park Board of Education seats during this year’s board of education election.

Board president Bill Motherway and trustee Steve Weber have not filed petitions and will not be running for re-election.

Michael Kelly, Diane Nally and Charles Leo have handed in petitions to the district clerk indicating their intent to run for the board. The petition requires the signatures of at least 25 qualified voters of the district. Petitions were due Tuesday at 5 p.m.

A Meet the Candidates night will be held on May 9 at the high school.

Board of Education elections, as well as the school budget vote will be held May 15.
