The proposed calendar consists of 183 days. If school is closed for inclement weather or other emergencies prior to Feb. 17, the first day of the scheduled winter break, school well be open in the following order, Feb. 21, 20, 19 and 18. If more than four emergency closings occur before Feb. 17 or additional days occur afterwards, the next emergency make up days will be March 19, April 14, April 15, etc.

The board of education voted to adjust this year's school calendar due to days lost during Hurricane Sandy and began with the February break instead of the pre-determined first two days of March break, which was decided upon last year when the district and board agreed on the upcoming school year’s calendar.
