Update: Kings Park was nudged out by Ossining and did not win the utility vehicle but did win $3,000 towards team unifoms.
A tight budget has put a squeeze on most schools this season and Kings Park is no exception, but with a little spirit and some Kings Park pride can show where there's a will, there's a way.
School Spirit Mania, sponsored by MSG Varsity, is a contest where high schools can qualify to win a customized sport utility vehicle, simply by earning the most votes for the school with the most spirit. The school is in the Fabulous Four phase of the tournament, with only two phases left to go, KP has a fighting chance.
Log onto to the site and cast your vote and KP just may be the lucky recipient of a 4-passenger, electric vehicle outfitted in the school's colors.
KP has already knocked out some of the competition and is currently up against Ossining high school, who is beating KP with a total of 52% over Kings Park's 48%.
C'mon Kings Park- let's go!
