Six Kings Park High School students will compete Monday evening in the first round of MSG Varsity’s competitive quiz show, The Challenge.
The Challenge pits 192 high schools in the tri-state area in a competition quiz match up with one school in each region being crowned regional champion with a $2500 prize for their school. The winning teams then go on to the championship where they square off in a tri-state showdown where the winning school is awarded $10,000. Each student participating in the final Challenge Championship game receives $500.
The Kings Park High School team is represented by Michael Adams, Joseph Gargiulo, Shannon Wetzler (Captain), Katie Mayer and Eric Parigoris. Rob Celeste is the academic advisor.
The show will air Monday night at 6:30 p.m. on channel 14.
