Kings Park Students Advance to Second Round of 'The Challenge'

Taping against Half Hollow Hills East will be aired on March 11.

A handful of Kings Park students take the regional stage in a couple of weeks when they face off against Half Hollow Hills East in the second round of the quiz show tournament.

After the KPHS squad defeated Comsewogue – which was aired on New Year's Eve (and can be seen here) – the high schoolers can be seen on March 11 at 6:30.

This year's KPHS team is represented by: Zak Marcone, Joseph Gargiulo (Captain), Michael Adams, Mayuri Sridhar, and (alternates) Eliza Swieczkowski and Justin Barish. The academic advisor is Robert Celeste.

'The Challenge' is in its 16th year of airing, and consists of 32 teams in Suffolk County and close to 200 across the tri-state area competing for $10,000 for their school, and individual prized of $500 each. The winner of each region earns $2,500 prizes for their schools.

Last year's team advanced to the semi-final in the Suffolk region before being outed by East Islip.

I just saw this dog running down sunken meadow rd. on Monday afternoon around 4:45. We tried callingRead More it but it ran into the st. johnland nursing home and wouldn't come to me when I tried calling it over. It looks like a shepherd mix and seems a little frightened.
